Chevy Cavalier Cold Air Intakes, Performance Air Intake System at TunersDepot
Chevy Cavalier Cold Air Intake and can be a great way to get a quick and easy boost in power for your Cavalier. Cold Air Intake systems work in the same way: rerouting the stock air intake delivery system for the best performance out of your Chevy Cavalier. Normally, the air filter in your Cavalier is located in the engine bay where it can be easily accessed and replaced. The problem with this is, the heat of the engine bay has adverse effects on your engine’s performance.
The Cavalier Cold Air Intake systems we offer extend the air intake tube to a lower position in your vehicle to collect denser (colder) air away from the hot engine bay. Also, the air filter is moved into a frontward position allowing for the cool air to be “rammed” into your engine, hence the term ram air intake or air induction intake that is used sometimes to refer to Cavalier intake Pipes. This combination of cold and dense air being shot into your Chevy Cavalier’s engine results in immediate and noticeable performance gains.
Our line of Chevy Cavalier Cold Air Intake carry thru 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 or 98, 99, 00, 01, 02 models.

Chevy Cavalier Cold Air Intake System Frequently Asked Questions
Can I install my new Cold Air Intake myself?
If you have a decent amount of technical knowledge and can follow instructions, you should be able to follow the instructions and install a cold air intake onto your Chevy Cavalier yourself. K&N FIPK intakes by far offer the best instructions with multiple pictures, though AEM is close behind. What kind of power can I expect to get on my Chevy Cavalier from an AEM, Spyder, or K&N FIPK Cold Air Intake?
Power increases vary by application, but you could expect anywhere from a 3-15hp increase under optimal conditions. Are Cold Air Intakes safe in the rain?
NO CAR should ever be operated during flooding. Unlike short ram intakes, cold air intakes draw air from a relatively low position. Your vehicle can technically ingest water from rain puddles, streams, floods, etc if your car is lowered or the water is deep enough, and damage your engine. To prevent this, you could install the appropriate sized AEM Bypass valve onto your Chevy Cavalier’s AEM or Spyder Cold Air Intake, however, we instead recommend switching to your vehicles stock intake system if you anticipate driving through flood conditions. K&N FIPK Intakes do not require bypass valves since their design is higher than AEM and Spyder, and are relatively safe from water ingestion.TunersDepot Chevrolet Cavalier Cold Air Intake System Reviews & Ratings (2)

It was a little difficult and time consuming to install but well worth it. First full tank of gas after installing my MPG jumped from 28 to 33 MPG. Not to shabby for not to much money!
