Your 00-03 Nissan Maxima's stock catalytic converter, aka your "cat", is not designed for peak performance. Made for residential driving and emission standards, the Nissan factory cat converter is not made for the type of exhaust flow that is put out during racing or other hard driving.

To overcome this problem, we offer these X3 high flow catalytic converters. Designed to specifically bolt up to your Maxima's exhaust system, this hi-flow cat (which can also be considered a test pipe) allows for maximum air flow for higher performance.

Constructed of stainless steel, this catalytic converter can be used with your Maxima's stock exhaust manifold and exhaust pipe, or directly bolted on to an aftermarket header and cat-back exhaust system, enhancing the performance gains of those parts.
