Honda Civic Cold Air Intakes, Performance Air Intake System at TunersDepot
Honda Civic Cold Air Intake and can be a great way to get a quick and easy boost in power for your Civic. Cold Air Intake systems work in the same way: rerouting the stock air intake delivery system for the best performance out of your Honda Civic. Normally, the air filter in your Civic is located in the engine bay where it can be easily accessed and replaced. The problem with this is, the heat of the engine bay has adverse effects on your engine’s performance.
The Civic Cold Air Intake systems we offer extend the air intake tube to a lower position in your vehicle to collect denser (colder) air away from the hot engine bay. Also, the air filter is moved into a frontward position allowing for the cool air to be “rammed” into your engine, hence the term ram air intake or air induction intake that is used sometimes to refer to Civic intake Pipes. This combination of cold and dense air being shot into your Honda Civic’s engine results in immediate and noticeable performance gains.

Honda Civic Cold Air Intake System Frequently Asked Questions
Can I install my new Cold Air Intake myself?
If you have a decent amount of technical knowledge and can follow instructions, you should be able to follow the instructions and install a cold air intake onto your Honda Civic yourself. K&N FIPK intakes by far offer the best instructions with multiple pictures, though AEM is close behind. What kind of power can I expect to get on my Honda Civic from an AEM, Spyder, or K&N FIPK Cold Air Intake?
Power increases vary by application, but you could expect anywhere from a 3-15hp increase under optimal conditions. Are Cold Air Intakes safe in the rain?
NO CAR should ever be operated during flooding. Unlike short ram intakes, cold air intakes draw air from a relatively low position. Your vehicle can technically ingest water from rain puddles, streams, floods, etc if your car is lowered or the water is deep enough, and damage your engine. To prevent this, you could install the appropriate sized AEM Bypass valve onto your Honda Civic’s AEM or Spyder Cold Air Intake, however, we instead recommend switching to your vehicles stock intake system if you anticipate driving through flood conditions. K&N FIPK Intakes do not require bypass valves since their design is higher than AEM and Spyder, and are relatively safe from water ingestion.TunersDepot Honda Civic Cold Air Intake System Reviews & Ratings (8)

I got the intake and it was the right one, but they sent me a red intake vs. the polished silver that I ordered. Tried calling twice and went to voicemail.

I purchased this Cold Air Intake System for my 1997 Honda Civic LX, it works amazing compared to my stock air box filter, the RPMs are much smoother, the sound of it is clean and not too ricey, my 1.6L is loving it. It was incredibly easy to install, all the parts were included. The built in mount fits just right, the sensor fit, the breather hose. Everything is secure and 100% working. I am very glad I choose TunersDepot for this modification to my Civic, excellent work by Spyder. I would definitely recommend this system to anyone with a 96-00 Civic!

I absolutely love my K&N cold air intake. Install took me about 3 hours because I had never done anything like it before but I didn't run into any problems. It sounds and runs great. I'm very happy with it.

Very happy.. pain to put in but well worth it. my 2010 si sounds alot better and is alot faster. My only complaint is that there was a little damage on the pipe. But you cant see it when installed. But overall great intake for a great price! Extremely pleased.

I noticed the change in my car's performance right away, and I like the way my car sound's because of the intake. The instructions could have been worded better, but it was easy to install

The quality and ease of installation on my 2009 Camry SE 3.5L made this purchase a real no brainer. The sound at full throttle is intoxicating and though the horsepower gains are minimal, the look and sound are worth it
